
PERC AGM and related events: Karlsruhe Germany (23-27 April 2025)
The PERC AGM will be held on Saturday 26 April in Karlsruhe, Germany with the option for members to participate remotely if necessary. We are grateful to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology who are hosting the event. The AGM is intended for PERC Trustees and Members as well as members of the PERC sub-committees. Participation by external individuals or organisations is possible on request to the PERC Chairperson and Secretary.
Several other activities are planned to take place in conjunction with the AGM, the overall schedule being as follows:
- Wednesday 23 April – arrival of PERC AGM attendees
- Thursday 24 April – site visit and roundtable discussion for PERC AGM attendees only
- Friday 25 April – one-day workshop – open for public registration (AGM attendees must register if they wish to attend the workshop – see details below)
- Saturday 26 April – PERC AGM – PERC members and invited guests only
- Sunday 27 April – departure of PERC AGM attendees
Public PERC Standard workshop (Friday April 25 – registration deadline April 11)
In conjunction with the AGM, a one-day PERC workshop is being held at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology on Friday 25 April. The workshop will provide participants with an introduction to the content and application of the CRIRSCO Template, the PERC Reporting Standard and the UNFC, including the use of the CRIRSCO Template to UNFC Bridging document.
The EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) and its implications for industry and government entities involved in the European minerals sector will also be discussed, including relevant aspects of Strategic Project approvals and monitoring.
The afternoon session of the course will introduce the topic of assessment and reporting of mineralised brines with case study examples from three different types of mineralised brine deposits.
This course is being organised by PERC in conjunction with the German Professional Association of Geoscientists (BDG) and the recently formed EU International Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Resource Management (EU ICE-SRM).
The afternoon part of the course on the topic of mineralised brines will be offered as a separate webinar for those who are interested in this topic but are unable to attend the course in person.
The morning part of the course will only be available for in-person attendees.
