Introduction to minerals reporting and classification of estimates
An introduction to the history and development of the CRIRSCO-aligned international reporting codes and standards for public reporting (disclosure) on mineral projects, why they were needed, what they are, and what they do. An overview of how Mineral Resources are classified, and what this classification means for public reporting is also provided.
Learning objectives:
- The role and organisational structures of PERC and CRIRSCO;
- The importance of having reporting codes and standards;
- The need for different reporting systems for investors and government;
- The role of mining professionals in the assessment and reporting process;
- To recognise and understand some of the important concepts of PERC/CRIRSCO reporting.
This is the first out of 8 modules organised from 5 February to 26 March 2026.
